Noise Monitoring Services had the wonderful opportunity to provide acoustical blankets to a studio in El Segundo which was hosting the Global Citizen Project award ceremony. We were presented with a problem and were asked to come up with an efficient and effective solution to unwanted noise. The neighboring building to the studio is an automotive repair shop. The studio found that when filming they would often find they needed to scrap footage with leaked auto repair noise.
Our blankets are more than capable of mitigating the noise from the neighboring building. We decided on an engineering design for a custom blanket hanging structure and got to work. Upon completion the blankets were mounted over the acoustical weak points (i.e. the roll up doors and the windows) and we found that the unwanted noise miraculously vanished. The client had thanked us for helping them find a solution to this headache of an issue. The host, John Legend, likely had no idea what went on behind the scenes, but his performance sure benefited from our product. Let us know if you have a similar issue!
