    Our Noise Experts

    Thomas Corbishley, MEng (Hons)

    Principal Consultant

Thomas Corbishley has 15 years of experience working as an acoustical consultant. He is responsible for the overall management of the business and leads a team of talented noise experts. He holds a Master of Engineering degree in Acoustical Engineering from the University of Southampton's Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) in the UK, graduating with First Class Honors.

Tom has a strong theoretical and practical background in acoustical engineering. His areas of expertise include environmental noise control, regulatory compliance, oil & gas production noise, flow-induced noise, room acoustics and occupational noise.

Prior to starting NMS, Tom worked as a Research Engineer for Fluid & Acoustic Ltd., an Associate Consultant for Wieland Acoustics, and Senior Engineer/Engineering Manager for Environmental Noise Control.
Leading NMS is very rewarding due to the variety of projects we're involved in, the interesting places we get to see and the enthusiasm and high standards of the team.

    Kyle Kim, Ph.D.

    Senior Acoustic Consultant

Dr. Kyle Kim has 16 years of experience working in environmental and architectural acoustics. He holds a Ph.D. in Architectural Acoustics and an M.S. in Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Florida, Gainesville, in addition to a B.E. in Building Equipment Systems from Kyungwon University, Korea. He is a Robert Bradford Newman Medalist and was awarded the Martin Hirschorn IAC Prize for the study of Community Noise Propagation from Cooling Towers and Condensing Units.

Kyle primarily works on environmental noise and vibration studies, architectural acoustics projects and technical noise analyses.

Kyle's previous positions include Acoustic Consultant roles with Siebein Associates, Newson Brown Acoustics, PCR and ESA.
As part of the NMS team, I love to work together to solve challenging noise problems, sometimes acting as a mentor to younger acousticians.

    Niko Chantziantoniou

    Acoustical Technician

Niko Chantziantoniou works for NMS as a technician and is responsible for obtaining noise measurements, data processing and analysis, and maintaining our remote noise and vibration monitoring stations.

Niko is too modest for his own good and so we must mention his talents here! When not working for NMS, he is heavily involved in music production and is a member of 'Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway', playing bass guitar with the 'System of a Down' guitarist/singer. Their song 'Lives' was a Rolling Stone 'Song of the Summer' in 2018.

    Isis

    Chief Engineer

Isis, not embarrassed by her unfortunate name, cracks the whip and helps run the place. This feisty girl's favorite things include sleeping, eating and watching colorful birds in nature documentaries. She loves taking Tom's seat when he's not looking and refusing to give it back.
