A Guide to Colorado’s COGCC Oil and Gas Noise Standards
April 5, 2018NMS Provides Analysis for Noise Soaker Acoustical Barriers
April 22, 2019Noise Monitoring Services has been awarded a contract to provide noise, vibration and air quality monitoring for the Metro Purple Line Extension in Beverly Hills, California. The project involves the addition of 2.59 miles of tracks to extend the Purple Line from Miracle Mile, through Beverly Hills, to Century City. A new station will be constructed at Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drive to serve those living and working nearby and to visitors. Construction is projected to be completed by 2025.
With construction happening in the heart of the Beverly Hills shopping and dining area, the control of noise, vibration and dust is a concern for the nearby businesses. NMS is partnering with Environmental Intelligence, LLC to provide monitoring systems and services over the next two years. Monitoring will commence at nine locations near Wilshire Boulevard in March and April. Nine monitoring systems will be installed at various businesses and hotels in addition to Beverly Hills High School.
Our monitoring systems will each supply noise data and audio recordings in real time for remote online analysis. These modular monitoring systems allow additional sensors to be added to the same system. Some will be equipped with vibration and dust sensors in addition to the noise sensor and will provide instantaneous email and text alerts to City representatives.
